Want to help beta test iFlash touch?

Loopware — Tags: — Davey @ December 7, 2008

Update (12/9/2009): I’m not accepting any more applicants. Thanks to everyone who emailed! I will be updating this blog with iFlash touch developments, so stay tuned!

In a few weeks I’ll be sending out a beta of iFlash touch, and I’d like to get as many beta testers as I can!

If you’d like to help beta test iFlash touch, please send an email to <email removed> containing both your device ID and a sample deck from iFlash you plan on exporting, and I’ll add you to the beta list if there’s space! If you’ve emailed me before about beta testing, please email me again at the above address with your device ID :-).

Follow these instructions to get your Device ID, if you’re not sure what it is.

Thanks everyone!

- Davey

  4. Hello David!

About the information under the topic, might it be possible to add information about what day the updates are added to the blog, so I know how late I am in reading the latest info. ^_^

Looking forward to iFlash Touch, so I hope the Beta testing works out fine. Huge fan of iFlash. Keep up the good work!

  5. pH: Good idea! I didn’t even notice they were missing. I’ve added them to all the posts.

  6. Very excited to see the progress being made.

Besides iFlipr, there really is no worthy flash card app in the App Store. That app is a little rough on the eyes and seems to be slowly updated, too.

    Looking forward to your release!

  7. Damn! Just my luck, being offline for the last couple of weeks, and missing out on signing up for beta testing! Hope that the time between the Beta and the first release is not too long. Let me know if you change your mind and want any more testers for the iPod Touch!

  8. Count me in too if you change your mind about letting more people in on the beta test. I’d love to see my favorite flashcard app ported over to my iphone.

  9. Great to see you’re working on it!
Although I’m too late here, I do hope someone sent you a deck that has three sides, and one that has chinese characters in it. Those are the features I really need that no other flashcard app on the iPhone offers so far…

This exactly describes the deck that I will be using in iFlash Touch.

  11. Yup, I’m definitely designing iFlash touch around flash cards with multiple card sides :-).

  12. When I use one of the score modes on the iFlash touch, will it update the scores on the computer when they sync?

  13. How is the progress coming? Can we expect iFlash touch in the app store anytime soon?

  14. Michael: hopefully, yes. :-)

Borden: it’s currently in beta testing/development now. I can’t give a timeline for it’s exact release, but I’m aiming for within a month.

  17. Hi,
I am currently living in Japan and have used sooooo many flashcard systems for iphone/itouch, windows mobile, osx, and windows platforms that I am just hoping to FINALLY find something truly good for mobile use!
I implore you to please add me to your beta program!(you posted that as of 12/9/2009 you aren’t accepting any more beta testers, but that date is technically around 12 months from now so you must still be accepting testers, namely me!:)

I currently use My Study Cards on the ipod touch, which looks generally good in reviewing the cards (full screen with a black background is essential), but adding cards takes way too long. Making it easy to export/email a csv or similar file is an essential that I am hoping for too! Mental Case is tied in with flashcardexchange, which isn’t my fave site.

I could be a big help, let me know!
    Thanks in advance!
    ^_^
